London Firebird Orchestra 2012-13 Season

Attended a concert this month by the London Firebird Orchestra who support fine young musicians in London. The programme performed in the atmospheric St. George’s Church in Hanover Square included easy to listen to classics from composers Mendelssohn, Bruch and Dvorak.  A definite plus was the Belgium violinist Leonard Schreiber playing Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1.
Can’t wait for their next performance on Wednesday, December 19 when the orchestra will be celebrating 35 years of the Story of Christmas. A fund raising evening benefitting homeless and disadvantaged children in London and the Home Counties, all are welcome.
